The structured pathway from advanced driver to certified convoy leader.
Specialist Pool · Marshal Pipeline · Session S12
The Lead Marshal Programme — a five-session structured pathway to convoy leadership certification. S12 develops the leadership, communication, risk-management, and route-judgment skills required to take a group into the desert and bring it home.
This is a cohort programme: you join a single intake and progress through all five sessions with the same group. See the Lead Marshal Programme document for the full breakdown.
Full session brief is developed on demand when sufficient member interest exists.
Progression — Five-session certification pathway. Convoy leadership sign-off awarded on completion of all sessions.
5 sessions · 4 hours total · max 6 students per group.
Gabi
Gabi is one of Desertica's lead instructors — several years in the dunes and a natural, instinctive feel for the terrain. Originally from Costa Rica, where desert and wild nature have always been home, she drives a manual Jeep Wrangler with a style that's clean, precise and unhurried. Teaching is her passion and comes to her effortlessly: she's calm under pressure, genuinely fun to learn with, and exceptionally skilled on recoveries. Equally at home with nervous first-timers and advanced drivers chasing the big dunes, Gabi teaches the full curriculum — from the very first beginner session all the way to mastery — in English and Spanish.
